Post When can you drive a boat/practice at the elliston park site
(after you join the club, of course) - (is the membership $85 per yr/ is it the '08 yr, 09 yr etc, or mar to mar, sept to sept , depending on what month you join ?) ...i've been out to watch the races a few times, but are there practice days at Elliston park, or do members just show up whenever the conditions are good/during certain times of the week ? Can any type of boat, such as RTR's, or glow/gas mono's go on the water, or just the boats that race in the club/Namba classes? Do you have to be with a current member, etc ?

After you become a member you have access to the pond at anytime during the week/weekend. yes the rules state yo must be with another member and that's only for insurance purposes. Namba insurance needs another member as a witness. On test days you can run whatever your heart desires. There is only 4 race weekends that you can't run unless your running in the race. The year begins in Jan and runs to Jan. So it's best to get your membership in early to get good use of it. For this year I would not worry just come out when the guy's are running so we can help where needed. You can call me or any other member listed on the website. www.namba16.com for info I may have missed.

I'm planning on going down closer to noon to let the temps get a little better. No fun running in 0deg weather. And more than likely Monday as well after I find out my changes don't work

Give me a call if your going down as you can practice with me without joining....But we don't want you to make a habit of it cause your still not insured.

I was just wanting to come out and check things out, and watch some boats run. I have an AC sport 40, and a 1/8 scale '93 Miss T-Plus, but have'nt run them yet...don't want to pile them into the rocks, lol. I bought a 43" mono / gas boat for dirt cheap so i could get a feel for driving, before i take the other boats out. It's almost done getting a complete rebuild, as it was in rough shape...waiting for a tune pipe to show up.

Come out and bring the T-plus (love to see it) I had my Winston, Notre Dame and the Tahoe out yesterday and will bring the Tahoe out again today (hopefully with better results) a A mono and a 40 rigger.

We were out for a while until 2pm. My boats...well at least they float. I swear the Tahoe Miss screws up just to pis s me off. It go's like a raped ape and then for no reason stalls. New fuel system different engine same issue. So I have yet another fuel system installed and made drain holes just in case there is water pooling around the carb. Will switch carbs as well. My B hydro showed more promise and I think a shorter pipe will help.... Maybe Looks like I'll be testing on race day again :nutkick:
